Latest work – Flukeshot

    Flukeshot

Flukeshot is a talented photographer and face artist currently based in Kent.

The site features a very simple and intuitive picture gallery style. The galleries are easy to manage as they work much like a Facebook page - simply uploading them from a web browser (or iPhone :-). Once they are uploaded, they automatically resize themselves, so they all fit the page properly!

The site also features a 'Picture diary'. A very simple and clean photo based blog to allow Flukeshot to post her latest work direct from a mobile phone, or from a web browser.

Flukeshot has a large Facebook following, so we added a 'share on Facebook' button so her homies can stay in touch with her latest work!

The photos are awesome, check it out!

Recent work

Short Fuse run a monthly writer's night. They are based in Brighton, but are expanding to host events in Hastings also.

Artballs designed the logo and the retro look for the poster art and web site. The site is very easy for the client to update with up and coming events. The design is based on an old Popular Science journal from the mid 1930's. The story page design is from Penguin Classic books, but adapted a little for enhanced legibility on the web.

The site allows commenting and feedback on stories and also features a built-in mailing list facility, so all Short Fuse fans can be emailed from the control panel of the site.

Myspace

If you want your Myspace page 'skinned up' to look nice, talk to us! We have worked with many bands and performers, setting up their online presence and giving advice on online marketing and selling music, as well as getting their music on iTunes and other store sites. There is a flat fee for setting up and making your myspace pretty.

Love it, or hate it, Myspace is a really good way to promote your band.

We can also set up iLike and Facebook artist or band profiles.

other design

We produce print ready artwork for many creative fields.

This includes bands and performers, theatre companies. We can design brochures, posters, flyers, logo design, badges, anything!

We also do 'non standard' design, like large format printing, projections and installation work.

We have great experience and technical skill in location design for theatre, shows, gigs and exhibitions.

Find Will Power

    Find Will Power

This site was produced to give information on Lambeth PCT's quit smoking campaign.

The site was launched in conjunction with the 1st July 2007 public smoking ban that came into effect in the UK.

The brief was: to be fun and not patronising to smokers wishing to find out more information on giving up.

The site features a quirky and fun look of a cartoonish kitchen table. All the objects can be manipulated to show information about events and help available.

In the spirit of the event, I gave up smoking and wrote a blog to go with this site, documenting my own experience over 30 days without smoking.

One Deep Breath

    One Deep Breath birthday invite

The ethical advertising agency One Deep Breath held a spectacular birthday party. The theme was a cross between a sinister Victorian style freakshow circus and Sergeant Pepper. Along with taking part, playing in four performances that night, as Billy Spoons (on guitar and spoons) and on bass with Mitzi Caspar, I produced the invite.

Ann Summers

One of the most fun design jobs I produced at Diabolical Liberties, was a newspaper ad campaign that went out in 3 million publications, as well as on advans across the country. The challenge was to advertise the new Platinum Rabbit vibrator, but keeping within strict UK advertising decency laws, ie: you can't put a picture of a vibrator on a public poster…

The campaign shows a space age looking silver carrot.

I did the photography and digital retouch, as well as the advan and print designs. 3000 silver carrots were attached to lamp posts around various cities, including Oxford Street, London, with a label asking for the finder to return the carrots to ANn SUmmers stores to win a cash prize, or a Platinum Rabbit Vibrator.

Red Bull Vert

I designed the stencils and concept artwork for one of the now famous Red Bull Vert BMX and skateboard challenges.

Video-C is one of Europe's most popular music video web sites. We work with Apple Quicktime and provide most of the content for the Quicktime What's on page in Europe. We are also an iTunes partner, and the site is now closely affiliated with the iTunes Music store and iTunes music festivals, now in its second year in the UK.

I edited content, as well as designed microsites for a huge and diverse range of bands. Some of the web sites I made are linked in the left hand side bar

Louder Than Life

I remember this project fondly as one of the last I did for Video-C. The DVD is an irreverent history of Heavy Metal. The web site features a ripped metal look and 'tattoo' design. The site also featured an amazing competition to win one of five Gibson guitars.

Gill Rocca
  • Gill Rocca
    www.gillrocca.com

Gill is a very hard working and prolific artist in the UK. We designed this site together with a simple, clean look that lets her paintings stand out.

The site features a simple and highly intuitive thumbnail gallery by way of navigating the paintings. Mixing form and function, the thumbnails are tiled on the right. Not only do they look good displayed in this way, but you can navigate the whole gallery without clicking the mouse once!

The site design is quite modular and Gill can update the images in the site herself whenever she has a new show, or a painting is sold.

2020 Business Support

2020 is one of London's longest standing Apple Mac support companies. As they are motorcycle based, They have a premier service of one hour on site for emergency support.

This is the second site I have designed for 2020. With this update, we modernised the logo and took a hat nod from the new Apple branding and fonts. This is to keep the Mac 'feel' about the site identity.

The home page features an iMac, which has a working screensaver, and the home button mimics the Mac startup 'clock'.
